Bring 2k to get 5k

The very first job offer I got was for 150k ($1,000)/month and I was overly qualified for the role at the time. I was fresh out of school and broke, had to
travel about 130 kilometers to go for the interview.

When I arrived, they sold me a job application form of 1.5k ($10).
Upon entrance, I saw it was a hall with over 5,000 people inside, all of them having the said job application form on their hands.

I could hear the man on the stage speaking these golden words into the microphone

“So if you bring 2k today, you will make 5k within the first 24 hours… 4 by 4 matrix…downline investment yields upline multiplication…you just need to signup and bring 2 more people…”

It turned out to be a network marketing event masquerading as a job recruitment program.

Chai, e pain me. My chest hurt so bad, oh lord, my chest!

It still pains me till today, the distance I traveled, the hope that they just highed me for nothing.
