Genius — The ability to shoot at a target no one else is seeing, and hit it!
Thiel calculated the future correctly and supported Trump, shot at it with a donation of $1.2m, and hit it at a time the entire Silicon valley was against Trump.
They all came after him on twitter and other social media, he had to go give a speech to defend his point.
This was not the first time he is predicting the outcome of an impossible situation correctly.
He was the first to invest in Facebook when Mark Zuckerberg was still a runaway teenager with a tiny little site called ‘the facebook’.
He invested in PayPal when internet banking was still a speculation.
He invested in bitcoin when the concept of block-chains was still a theory. He invested in hulk hogan when his sex tape was released without his permission.
He invested in Trump when all the online polls were showing that Trump would loose by a large margin.
He came out successful in all these investments. PayPal is now by far the largest online payment company in the world, its larger than all the other competitors put together.
Facebook is now within the first 5 richest company in the world.
Hulk Hogan won his case and the media company paid him big time and folded.
Bitcoin is now on top of its game. Trump won and made him a member of his government transition team. That’s how he kick started his political career, at a presidential level.
He wrote a small book titled “Zero to One”. You can google and download it to tap into the mind of this financial genius.
In that book, he talked alot about foresight, how to avoid the competition and how to follow the money.
This is a good time to read that book.
