Predicting ICO success with intelligent algorithms — ICO prediction that actually work.
Avoiding ICO promotion failures and disasters. Finding the right ICO coins to invest in for each month. ICO spreadsheets analysed.
Introduction:
ICOs are fund raising events just like kickstarter or getting VC investments.
However, they use cryptocurrencies that were created by the fund raising team.
There have been a lot of ICOs coming up mainly because ICOs don’t have the same bottlenecks VC investments have. There is no regulation. It is a new science. We are in an ICO land grab era.
And the trend doesn’t seem to be dying down any time soon.
Problem:
- However, there is a big problem with it — over 90% of ICOs fail to reach their target. That’s money lost for a lot of people. The ICOs are genuine, but they fail to raise enough funds to power the technology they wish to bring to fruition.
- Many of them are scam. They just want to raise the funds and disappear into thin air. Many have disappeared that way with millions of dollars in people’s money and there is no way to police them. Even though I must mention here that a number of such scams dont start out as scams. But when they realize that they cant raise the requirefunds they need, they don’t refund the money they already raised, they just disappear with it.
Some even mention it somewhere in their terms of agreement that there wont be any refunds, but hey, who reads terms of agreement? The last one I actually read was in 1992. - Many ICOs are successful, but don’t yield sufficient returns.
Solution:
Hence we need a way to tell which ICOs will succeed and which ones wont. We need a predicting model that can tell us 2 key things:
1. Is the team behind the ICO genuine?
2. Will the ICO be able to raise the money they ask for?
3. After they raise it, will they be able deploy the technology they promise?
4. How many returns will the investors get after they have succeeded with any of the 3 above
I thought to myself that I will throw in all my money into any platform or mechanical contraption that will answer these 4 questions for me. So I searched online and couldn’t find any.
Research:
1. I saw Ian Balina’s spreadsheet and some spreadsheet of some other Crypto advisors attempting to predict this. They use google docs and attempt to manually predict this.
I had several problems with that, it is a total mess.
for several reasons.
a. Since the spreadsheet is being updated by just one person (the creator), community contribution is out of the question. What if I disagree with him? Nothing I can do.
b. Many awesome ICOs are missing from the list because the creator is just one individual who obviously doesn’t have enough time to keep track of all ICOs
c. With a few ICOs listed and several columns, the whole sheet becomes a total chaos. The whole point of recording data is so that we can get a sane view of what the data is and make easy deductions. Using spreadsheets, there is no neat way to understand what is going on.
Different columns rows and columns are coloured differently, there are so many columns that the viewer has to scroll into the extreme right of the screen.
d. The analysis has a number of faults eg. it doesn’t check for banned countries, too few metrics are checked etc
Nevertheless, I must say here that they have done a very good job at forming the basis for predicting ICO performance.
e. Creator bias: If ICOs owners don’t worship the creator of of the ICO spreadsheet, they might not get any mention at all or they may get a rude and negative review.
You see? total mess and a brain wreck, and there are a number of these sheets flying around.
My solution:
So I figured that these guys are not programmers, that’s why they aren’t able to deploy it on a neater level. I am a software developer so why don’t I come up with something that actually works. We went to work for 6 months and came up with icopredictor.com
It is a platform that does exactly what it says, tell me everything about an ICO that I need to know, then give me a prediction that actually works and that I can verify within weeks.
First we had to analyse the data of lots of successful ICOs. In the end, we came up with numbers that work.
Take a look below the details of one ICO listed on icopredictor.com. You can see very clearly what is being measured , where the ICO is performing well and where their weakness is. If the ICO improves its metrics, they can request an update of their ratings.
A spreadsheet of ICOs
Also, notice that anyone can log in to the platform, and submit a new ICO and have it rated, clean easy process. Over 300 ICOs have been rated and listed on this platform already icopredictor.com
Any successful predictions yet?
Yes. All the ICOs. The platform is pretty accurate.
The first ICO that was rated was mobius network, their ICO went super successfully and is now listed on the exchange. You can log in and see the full list then crosscheck by yourself how the ICOs have performed.
Let us look at some of the keys that are measured.

Any catch?
Yes, all the medium and lower performing ICOs are open and free to access, but the handful of high performing ICOs are available for a small lifetime fee. If you are going to invest in an ICO, it only makes sense to spare a token for a life time access to find out the best projects to put the rest of the money.
Submitting ICOs and getting it listed is free. Signing up and using the platform is completely free too.
Conclusion:
We now have a pretty accurate way to predict the success of ICOs. No more random blind-guess investments.
