The first day I drove in Lagos
One thing I don’t think I can ever do is to make videos while driving in Lagos. The first day I drove in Lagos, I was in a big vehicle, the equivalent of a tank and I almost ran over a Camry. I couldn’t see the dude because the front of my car tipped his own over to the side halfway and his car was damn tiny.
I was driving out of the petrol station and changing the dial on the radio when he did his Lagos agbero driving and materialized in front of me from nowhere.
I could only hear his voice. Poor Uber driver was screaming “Oga! You want to tumble my car!?! Do you want to roll me over into the gutter?! Hey hey!! Help! Help! Somebody help!”
I wasn’t sure where he and his toy car was, for a moment I didn’t know if I should move forward or backward to save him. I had to climb down from the tank to recon the situation on the ground before falling back a few meters on my six. Luckily, there wasn’t even a scratch on the other vehicle.
I have a lot of respect for Lagos vloggers that make videos while driving in Lagos, lots of love, una too much. I can’t risk it. :D
