The first time I ever traveled abroad was kind of dramatic
A great misfortune befell me on the week leading up to the date, this forced me to make a whole lot of spending. I basically emptied my bank account to sort out the issue except for the little I had left.
I was so stressed that I fell ill, on the day I was going to travel, I missed my flight by a few minutes. Another misfortune!
I quickly went straight to the bank from the airport and emptied my bank account, then went to my house and sold off my most precious items.
After which I added the money, booked another flight to the same country that same day and still traveled that same day. Because it was the same day booking the flight ticket had almost tripled.
The only money that was left with me was N200, that was all I had in the world. Luckily they served food in the plane, hunger would have killed me that day. Emptying my bank account also meant that I had no money to book a hotel, recharge my phone or even book a taxi out of the airport.
The moment I touched down at the airport in the new country, I spread my arms and whispered
"And here we are mdfkr! N200 naira mdfkr! We don come be day we don come.
Impossible is nonsense!" :D
It’s a core life truth, you have to trade stuff to get stuff. You have to give up stuff to get up to stuff. Different kinds of results in life demand different kinds of sacrifices. One reason many people aren’t able to get what they want in life is because they aren’t prepared to give up what it demands.
Some results may demand that you stay up all night preparing a report, some may demand that you sell off that car, some may demand that you spend 2 hours every night studying something new or that you should take an L and go under a mentor. It doesn’t matter what result you want in life, the big question you should always ask is "what will this result demand of me?"
