Patriarchy is not bad, it's what saved the human race.
Over centuries, dominant men led invasions into other territories, defended theirs, led inventions, mass migrations, establishment of new communities, and protected women by providing for them and laying down their lives to defend them during attacks.
During these years, women have played their own part in ensuring that offsprings survive and that family lineages don't close when the patriarchs die in war.

Patriarchy was a product of both men and women. It's not like one gender was purposefully oppressing another for fun.
Towns in which the women did not grow the right dominant males have lost in wars and got wiped out.
Till today, young women are still looking for men with 6-packs or men with 6-cars, this is natural selection for weak men. Men who aren't physically dominant or able to push limits in life are weeded out, they die out over time without being able to mate.

All the technology, health care, business models etc we have today were predominantly invented by men in patriarchal societies.

There is nothing wrong with Matriarchy too, millions of families today are being led by women due to the absence of their husbands as a result of death or missing-in-action.
Many societies in history have been led by women and that's perfectly fine.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with men or women being at the head of any society. What is wrong is if women are PREVENTED from being at the head if they so aspire to.

What is bad is gender inequality, oppression and slavery.
